We’ve been providing Advanced Clothing Solutions since 1997, and it’s fair to say that we’ve come a long way since then.
Our flexibility knows no bounds. We provide a rental service through the traditional brick-and-mortar route for hundreds of stores across the UK and Ireland, plus we service purely online e-tailers as well. We’re also the leading sustainable garment solutions partner in the UK; simplifying garment refurbishment services for a vast array of organisations.
As the growth in the clothing rental market continues (menswear / womenswear / babywear), we’re seeing a seismic shift from ‘ownership’ to ‘usership’. Our experience in B2B fashion retail logistics solutions and supply chain management allows us to help companies be at the forefront of this movement.
We’re a trusted, innovative business; best placed to adapt quickly to market changes and to meet environmental challenges. We believe in growth through focusing on our customers, our products and our processing capabilities. Over the years, we’ve invested heavily in sophisticated technology, including garment sortation lanes based on advanced algorithms.
We really are a one-stop shop. The modernity of our operation and the expertise of our people allows us to tick all the boxes for garment rental and refurbishment. But don’t just take our word for it, come and see it for yourself.
ACS was established in Glasgow, and initially focused on the rental of highland wear to the Scottish market.
Operations expanded enormously and we moved into a purpose-built 25,000 sq ft facility in Glasgow.
We gained key contracts with multiple retailers and expanded our product range to include formal wear as well as highland wear.
We outgrew our facility and extended the warehouse to 40,000 sq ft.
ACS moved to a new 85,000 sq ft facility on the outskirts of Glasgow. With state-of-the-art garment handling technology, the new premises helps us to provide a best-in-class garment solutions service.
Having received significant private equity investment, we looked to replicate our success in the US by establishing a purpose-built 240,000 sq ft facility in Memphis from which to service the US wedding and prom markets.
We launched a successful online model with JCPenney in the US. We also entered into a strategic partnership supplying tuxedo rental to TipTopTux and Al’s Formalwear, a 70-strong store portfolio in Texas, Louisiana, Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota.
ACS vertically integrated operations in the US with our main customer, TipTopTux and Al’s Formalwear. We also commenced fulfilment for womenswear rental websites in the UK.
We began fulfilment for babywear rental websites in the UK, as well as returns processing and garment refurbishment for well-known online fashion retailers.
So, what do we have in store for 2020? Well, that very much depends on you. If you think we can help solve one of your problems (and chances are, we can), please get in touch and let’s shape the future of fashion rental and refurbishment together.
The very fabric of our culture is defined by the highly trained and experienced teams we have throughout every area of our organisation, including Customer Service, Warehouse, Finance and IT.
Continuous improvement is at the core of ACS and each department constantly strives to find innovative and market-leading ways of working, always in the best interests of our customers.
We’re greater than the sum of our parts, with each individual team member adding a different quality and propelling us forward at the highest level.
It really is the people who make ACS tick. Come and visit us and we’ll introduce you.
